SHOOTING COMPLETED. THE FILM IS IN POST-PRODUCTION. PREMIERE IN 2024.
The shooting of "Sofia" is completed! The film is in post-production.
The most anticipated news, made a reality by the hands and efforts of hundreds of people - we've finished the shooting phase of the film!
We spent a year filming the movie, during which we undertook seven expeditions to Vyborg. Staying true to our roots in independent cinema, we're now embarking on the next challenge: post-production, commonly referred to as editing. This stage is expected to last between 6 to 10 months.
And now we're setting the budget. Total amount needed: 1,000,000 rubles. (200,000 rubles have already been found!)
Such an amount (tiny by cinema standards) is needed to cover basic post-production expenses:
film score (composing music for the film and acquiring rights to existing songs)
color correction
technical work
translation into English
subtitles
credits
graphic design
preparations for release and participation in film festivals

WHAT'S THE FILM ABOUT?
Sofia, in her early 40s, faces a daily struggle. From enduring violence in her childhood home to facing it again in her own family, then grappling with divorce, a thankless job, and a life lived on autopilot just to get by. After a long day at work, all she yearns for is to drag herself home and slump in front of the TV.
She lives with her teenage son. At eighteen, Oscar, unlike his mother, has friends and a dream: to become an artist. For Sofia, her son represents her sole connection to a reality unburdened by resentments and desires for revenge. A 3 a.m. phone call suddenly shatters Sofia's autopilot life. She is informed that her son has been killed. A street fight in which two lives were taken at once — Oscar's and her own.
Sofia resolves to stay alive until the trial, to avenge her son by killing his murderer, and then ending her own life. But God seems to have a different plan for Sofia.

Therefore, upon completion of the shooting period, we added a twist to the film's finale and are calling on future viewers to film scenes for "Sofia".
Here are the conditions:
Capture a white bird (you can create the dove yourself: draw it, make it, find it) at iconic locations, in a visible place, or even on yourself.
Shoot horizontally, under good lighting.
Duration - at least 30 seconds, but no longer than 1 minute.
The white dove should be clearly visible in the frame.
